A Shabad for purification of ego and remembrance of true worth
This shabad is not recited to improve yourself. It is recited to remove what was never yours.
Its vibration gently dissolves the false scaffolding of identity the grasping, the self-doubt, the need to be seen or approved. What remains is self-esteem in its truest form: not confidence built through effort, but the quiet dignity of being aligned with Truth.
This shabad purifies the ego by returning the mind to awe.
To chant it is to soften the personality so the soul can speak.
Traditionally, this shabad is meditated upon or recited 11 times a day, allowing its frequency to settle into the nervous system and the auric field not as an idea, but as a lived state.
Lineage + Source
This sacred hymn appears in the Siri Guru Granth Sahib, Ang 1402, written by Guru Arjan.
It carries the devotional innocence of the child-soul and the vast authority of the Infinite.
The Shabad
Wahe Guru Wahe Guru Wahe GurU Wahe Jee-o

Waahiguroo Waahiguroo Waahiguroo Waahe Jee-o
You, O Lord, are lotus-eyed; Your Words are sweet, and millions of hosts embellish You.
You, O Lord, are the One to whom the Mother Yashoda offers yogurt and rice.
Seeing Your Form of Supreme Beauty, the mother is overcome with love.
She hears the tinkling music, the sound of Your chains and bells while at play.
Death’s pen and order are in Your Hands:
Who can erase the Writ of Your Will?
Shiva and Brahma yearn to enshrine Your Wisdom and Meditation within.
You, O Lord, are forever Just, True, the Abode of Excellences, the Primal Being.
WaheGuru WaheGuru WaheGuru Wahe Jee-o
O Lord, of Infinite Wisdom and Greatness, Beyond our comprehension.
Energetic Intention of This Shabad
This shabad restores self-esteem through reverence.
Not self-esteem as comparison. Not self-esteem as affirmation. But self-esteem as alignment the natural result of remembering your place within the Infinite.
It steadies the aura. It softens the mind. It brings humility without collapse and confidence without force.
This is a practice for those who are learning to stand in their light without grasping to be seen without effort to let presence speak louder than personality.
