December is a 3 in Tantric Numerology - what does this mean?

Updated: Jan 2, 2022

Here we are at the final month of 2021. It feels like we raced through the previous few months. It feels to me like a very important time to find time to reflect in the lead up to solstice.

There are many expansive energies to support us as we venture into December.

December in Tantric Numerology is a 3 Month.

Today, the day I am publishing is 3/3/21!! Ok so it is really a 3/3/5 (2021) But I love that today which is a Friday and therefore a Venus day is so powerfully packed with 3's.

Venus days are great days to be in love... Whether with another or with life!

They harness the energy of love, creativity, connection, and beauty. They are the best days to relax, socialise and hang out with people who make you feel wonderful. It the perfect day to be really creative and begin creative projects. Really interestingly these are all qualities and temperaments very well suited to the 3.

The 3 is the Positive Mind it is a full amplification of all that is being experienced. It can make wonderful moments completely unforgettable whilst in the next breath it can make a moment of doubt erupt into full despair.

3 is the journey of desire, of playfulness, of thrill seeking it is also the contrast of goodliness, godliness, of caring with the hugest capacity and loving wholeheartedly.

If you like me grew up in the 70's, 80's and 90's it is fair to say that there may have been a strong or present religious influence on your life. I went to a Catholic School. I am actually not Catholic so my religious studies teacher, a Nun, took great pleasure in calling me "The Atheist". I actually loved religion. I loved the rituals of the catholic church and the way you "belonged" to a community. However through school through and my younger years attending Sunday School I was indoctrinated into the world of "being a good girl".

Many of us are still undoing this. It shows up in many places, from saying "yes" when we absolutely mean "no" due to feeling duty bound to doing the right thing, to worrying about not hurting others people's feelings, to struggling to experience pleasure or having the capacity to voice our desires.

This months feeds all of these emotions. Think about the contrast between the notorious "Office Party" and Christmas Lunch with the extended family.

This is a month (especially with a solar eclipse thrown in for good measure) when we can flip from conforming to rebelling within a couple of outfit changes. Where we might hear our inner most voice screaming for everyone to be quiet whilst our outer expression is of calm serenity.

However it is also the month of caring for each other. For not letting anyone go without. For charity, for kindness, for volunteering and for gratitude.

As 2021 (a 5 year) closes we will be offered the final lessons we need in order to prepare us for our journey into 2022 (a 6 year). If you would like to know more about the year that has just been you can watch a recording of our recent Closing The Year Retreat, or book in for our Intention Setting Retreat in January.

With the influence of 3 you can be sure that you are going to be offered the opportunity to consider if you are living a life that you are wholeheartedly embracing or whether in fact you are conforming to societal norms that are making you feel constrained and miserable.

This is not the time to make sweeping changes...Wait for the energise of this year to calm down...but do begin to become aware of gentle shifts you can begin to take when you feel ready.

You may find yourself with a strong urge to run away at several points throughout this month! My advice is find somewhere to run to...I like going for a walk (ALONE!), or just making time for a bath!

Journal Contemplations

I would like to offer you these contemplations to journal with over the next few days.

Question 1.

When you find yourself dreaming what are you dreaming about and what do you see.

Ask yourself

"What is it I currently find myself dreaming about?"

"What are some simple steps I could take to bring my dreams into reality?"

Question 2.

What new plans or changing beliefs about life have you recently become aware of?

Ask yourself

"What are my current plans? What am I ready to write down, acknowledge and bring energy to?"

Question 3

Look back over the past 3 years. What have been the changes you have experienced around all aspects of your life?'

Ask yourself

"Who am I today compared to who I was over the last 3 years?'

"How has my relationship with my higher self improved over this time?"

"What is it that brings me the most fun and the most joy in life?"

"How can I do more of this?"

I hope you enjoy the opportunity of self reflection and enquiry that these questions and this blog has offered.

Here is a Meditation that will support you throughout December.

Meditation for the Positive Mind

Smiling Buddha Kriya

This practice opens the heart center and the feelings of the positive self. It is a gesture of happiness. It has a great history and is said to have been practiced by many great and wise spiritual leaders including Buddha and Christ. The hand mudra became a symbol for blessing and prosperity.

Posture: Sit with a straight spine.

Curl the ring finger and little finger into each palm. Bend the thumbs over top of them to lock them into place. Keep the first two fingers straight. Bring the arms so the elbows are by the sides, and the hands are by the shoulders with the two fingers of each hand pointing straight up. Bring the forearms and hands forward to an angle of 30 degrees from the vertical. Press the shoulders and elbows back firmly but comfortably. The palms face forward.

Eyes and Mental Focus: Close the eyelids. Roll the eyes up gently and concentrate at the brow point, the Third Eye area at the top of the nose where the eyebrows would meet.

Breath: Create a steady, slow, deep, and complete breath.

Mantra: Mentally pulse rhythmically from the brow point out to Infinity the sounds: Saa taa naa maa Saa is Infinity. Taa is Life. Naa is Death. Maa is Rebirth/transformation. This describes the cycle of life. This kriya brings a total mental balance to the psyche. The entire mantra means, "I meditate on Truth, Truth that I am.”

Time: Practice for 3- 11 mins after meditating try to speak only truth directly from your heart.

To End: Inhale deeply and exhale three times. Then open and close the fists several times. Relax.
