This ritual blends the grounded, ambitious energy of Capricorn with the transformational wisdom of the Wood Snake. Capricorn represents discipline, structure, and long-term success, while the Wood Snake is a symbol of intuition, renewal, and slow, steady growth. Together, they create a powerful opportunity for setting intentions that align with your soul’s purpose while embracing the flexibility needed to adapt and thrive.

🌑 Ritual Overview
Best time: From the night of the New Moon in Capricorn and up to 3 days after.
Elemental focus: Earth (Capricorn) & Wood (Snake)
Tools: A small wooden box or bowl, a green candle, a black or dark blue crystal (obsidian, labradorite, or black tourmaline), a small snake symbol (drawing, statue, or even a piece of jewellery), paper & pen, and an herbal tea (preferably ginger, cinnamon, or oolong)

🪶 Step 1: Sacred Space & Grounding
Cleanse your space using incense, sage, or Palo Santo.
"Sacred smoke, cleanse this space,
Clear all heaviness, doubt, and haste. Earth and Wood, strong and true, Guide my path as I renew. Like the Snake, I shed the old, With Capricorn’s strength, my dreams take hold. Bless this space, my heart, my way, Under this Moon, I grow each day."
Prepare your ritual area by placing your wooden bowl or box in front of you with the candle, crystal, and snake symbol nearby.
Sit comfortably and take a few deep breaths, imagining roots growing from your body into the Earth, grounding you in Capricorn’s stabilising energy.
Chant the Adi Mantra ; Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo
📝 Step 2: Intention Setting with the Snake’s Wisdom
On a small piece of paper, write down your intentions for the new lunar cycle. Focus on:
Long-term goals (career, personal growth, or financial stability
Shedding old habits (like the Snake shedding its skin)
Embracing transformation with wisdom and patience
Fold the paper and place it inside the wooden bowl or box.
🕯️ Step 3: Candle Magic & Invocation
Light the green candle, symbolising prosperity, renewal, and slow, steady growth.
Hold your crystal and say:
"Under the Capricorn Moon and the watchful eyes of the Wood Snake, I embrace transformation, patience, and wisdom.
I commit to my path with discipline and trust in divine timing. May my intentions take root and grow strong, guided by Earth and Wood."
Close your eyes and visualise your goals manifesting over time.
🐍 Step 4: Drink the Herbal Tea & Seal the Ritual
Take slow sips of your tea, allowing warmth to spread through you as you absorb the energies of the ritual.
Once you’re finished, snuff out the candle and place the paper with your intentions somewhere safe inside the wooden box or bowl.
Keep the box in your space until the next Full Moon, when you can revisit or adjust your intentions.
🌱 Post-Ritual Integration
Carry the snake symbol or crystal with you as a reminder of your commitment to slow and steady transformation.
Take at least one small, tangible action toward your goals in the following days.
This ritual aligns Capricorn’s disciplined energy with the intuitive wisdom of the Wood Snake, setting the stage for lasting, meaningful growth. 🌿🐍✨

Laya Yoga Kundalini Meditation
PART ONE
Sit in Easy Pose or in a chair with a straight spine. Pull a gentle Root Lock and Neck Lock. The eyes are closed and focused at the third eye point. The left hand is in Gyan Mudra resting on the left knee. Block the right nostril with the thumb of the right hand as the other fingers point straight up and the palm faces toward the left. Breathe long, deep and completely through the left nostril for 2-3 minutes.. As you breathe, visualize and feel each area of the body. Consciously survey the body from the top of the head to the tip of the toes. Be systematic and thorough. Sense the movement of the prana as it circulates to all the areas you survey.
Switch hands and nostrils. Do the same breath through the right nostril for 2-3 minutes. Then inhale deeply, hold briefly and relax.
PART TWO
Place the hands together in Prayer Mudra at the middle of the chest. Press the middle joint of the thumbs into the center of the sternum between the 5th and 6th ribs. Apply 5-10 pounds of pressure. Concentrate at the brow point. Breathe long and deeply for 2 minutes. Then begin Breath of Fire for 1 minute.
PART THREE
Still sitting in Easy Pose, immediately raise the arms up to 60 degrees over the head. Form Gyan Mudra with each hand. The palms face toward each other with the wrists straight. Breathe long and deeply for 3 minutes. Inhale and hold briefly at the end.
PART FOUR
Still sitting in easy pose, apply Root Lock and Neck Lock. Place both hands in Gyan Mudra on the knees with the elbows straight. Close the eyes to 1/10th open.
Concentrate at the brow point and chant:
EK ONG KAAR-A, SA-TA NAAM-A, SIREE WHAA-A HAY GURUU.
The chant has a kind of spin to its rhythm. Mentally you “spin” the sound from the base of the spine up through the crown of the head into the cosmos. Apply Mulbandh throughout. On the “A” sound consciously lift the diaphragm firmly. Start the chant on EK by pulling the navel point in sharply.
TIME: Continue 11-31 minutes.
End: Inhale deeply and hold the breath as long as you comfortably can. Then relax.
